Project Bianca was born from the client's vision of a contemporary sanctuary that blended old world Tuscan and modern Australian farmhouse styles. Crown Electrical Solutions was committed to integrating advanced smart technology without disrupting the client’s aesthetic vision. To do this, the brief prioritised intuitive control, energy efficiency, and a discreet design. From lighting and climate control to audiovisual systems, security, and high-speed networking, every element needed to be seamlessly integrated into a smart home platform that enhanced the occupant’s living experience without drawing attention to the technology behind it.

Originally planned as a fully wired system, the lighting control design was forced to pivot due to architectural constraints like exposed stonework and limited ceiling space. This was compounded by late-stage changes requested by the client. These challenges risked impacting the project timeline, cost, and design integrity. Simultaneously, the client's desire for a minimalist look demanded near-invisible integration of all technical components—from switches to speakers—across a broad range of subsystems, including underfloor heating, motorized blinds, switchable smart glass, irrigation, and security.

Crown Electrical Solutions responded with agile problem-solving and expert redesign. A wireless Zigbee-based lighting system was implemented, fully compatible with the Control4 platform. This enabled advanced scene-based control without intrusive wiring. Smart devices were meticulously hidden within ceilings, walls, and cabinetry to preserve the home's rustic style. All ceiling-mounted equipment were wet painted to match the ceiling. An enterprise-grade networking backbone ensured seamless connectivity and reliable high performance.

The integrated Control4 system gave our client complete control over lighting, climate, audio, security, and more via touchscreen, app, and voice control. Through close collaboration and adaptive engineering, Crown Electrical Solutions were able to deliver a sophisticated, future-ready smart home without compromising on style.
